Shopping for Sectional Sofas Online

Different Types of Sectionals

Sectional sofas are very popular today, but with so many options available it’s sometimes difficult to choose a perfect piece. Shopping for furniture may sound like fan, but without a clear idea of what we are looking for the choice overload can end up stressing us out. So how do we find one sectional that most appeals to us? How do we select the right color, style, and material?

Let’s browse the sectional sofas at Classic2Modern.com. We can see sectionals of various shapes, designs, styles and colors.

SHAPES

L-Shaped Sectionals

This is the most common shape; however, the sofa can form the “L” in different ways. For example, two sofas pushed together, or two loveseats pushed together, or sofa and loveseat pushed together. Another type of L-Shaped sectional uses a chaise at one end of the sofa. See some of L-Shaped sectionals below.

U-Shaped Sectionals

The U-Shaped sectionals use either two chaises at each end of the sofa, or two sofas or loveseats (sofa and loveseat), and one chaise. All these configurations form a “U” shape.

Other Shapes of Sectionals (Semi-Circular, Curved, etc.)

Semi-Circular and Curved sectionals feature impressive contemporary look but may require bigger living room spaces. Luckily, the compact sofas are available as well, and their sharp design and functionality are just perfect for smaller interiors.

DESIGNS

Stationary Sectionals

The most common design type is stationary sectionals. Unlike the modular sectionals, the stationary sofas may only have one invariable shape. They cannot be reconfigured, and they don’t have any moving parts.

Modular Sectionals

Modular sectionals are made up of individual and interchangeable pieces, to create various styles and configurations. The sofa modules can be moved around to suit a mood or event.  Modular sectionals would be the best choice for those looking for extra long sofas, or for those looking for a specific setup.
