Shipping Policy

Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Classic2Modern, we want furniture delivery to be as straightforward and predictable as possible. Because furniture varies considerably in size, weight, location, and handling requirements, the delivery method and timeframe may vary by product and destination.

Please review this policy before placing your order. If you have questions about availability, delivery timing, or the delivery service available for a particular item, we encourage you to contact us before ordering.

Free Shipping

Classic2Modern offers Free Standard Shipping to California, Nevada, and Arizona on qualifying merchandise, unless otherwise stated on the product page or at checkout.

Depending on the order, delivery location, and merchandise, an upgraded service such as White Glove Delivery may also be offered at no additional charge. We will confirm the delivery method when your order is processed.

Shipping to Other States

We also deliver throughout the contiguous United States. Orders delivered outside California, Nevada, and Arizona are subject to an additional shipping charge.

Because furniture shipping costs vary considerably depending on the size and weight of the merchandise, destination, delivery method, and carrier, the exact shipping charge may not always be available at the time the order is placed.

For these orders, Classic2Modern will calculate and confirm the applicable shipping charge within 24 hours after the order is received. We will contact you with the shipping cost and any available delivery options, including White Glove Delivery when applicable.

Your order will not be released for shipment until the applicable shipping charge and delivery arrangements have been confirmed with you.

For certain oversized, heavy, fragile, high-value, or multi-piece furniture orders, Classic2Modern may require White Glove or another specialized furniture-delivery service to help ensure that the merchandise can be properly handled and inspected at delivery.

If you would like to know the shipping cost before placing your order, please contact us with the product name or link and your delivery ZIP code, and we will be happy to provide a shipping quote.

Southern California Delivery

Customers in Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties benefit from our proximity to major Southern California furniture warehouses and distribution centers.

For many in-stock products, orders are processed quickly and delivery is typically scheduled within 1–3 business days after order processing.

Actual delivery typically takes place within 1–5 business days, depending on product availability, the size and type of furniture, delivery location, order size, and delivery method.

After your order has been processed and merchandise availability confirmed, you can typically expect contact from our delivery team within 1–2 business days. The delivery team will coordinate a convenient delivery date or delivery window with you.

These timeframes are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless Classic2Modern expressly confirms a guaranteed delivery arrangement in writing.

White Glove Delivery

White Glove Delivery is available for many orders and is frequently used for larger furniture purchases.

Depending on the merchandise and delivery arrangement, White Glove service may include:

  • delivery inside your home;
  • placement in the room of your choice;
  • unpacking;
  • assembly when applicable; and
  • removal of packaging materials.

For many qualifying Southern California orders, White Glove Delivery may be offered at no additional charge, depending on the merchandise, order size, delivery location, and current delivery arrangements.

Please contact us before ordering if you would like to confirm whether complimentary or upgraded White Glove service is available for your order.

Nationwide and Out-of-State Delivery

Classic2Modern ships furniture throughout the contiguous United States using established freight carriers, specialized furniture-delivery companies, and independent delivery providers.

Delivery methods vary depending on the size and weight of the merchandise, destination, manufacturer or warehouse location, and handling requirements.

Smaller or appropriately packaged merchandise may be shipped using standard freight or other available delivery services.

For certain oversized, heavy, fragile, high-value, or multi-piece furniture orders shipped outside California, Classic2Modern may require White Glove or another specialized furniture-delivery service as a condition of shipment.

This requirement helps protect the merchandise during long-distance delivery and allows furniture to be unpacked and inspected at the destination while the delivery team is present.

If White Glove or specialized delivery is required for your order, we will advise you of the available service and any applicable charge before the order is finalized or released for shipment.

Processing and Shipping Time

Many products displayed on Classic2Modern are stocked at manufacturer or distributor warehouses and may be available for shipment shortly after an order is processed.

We typically strive to have eligible orders released for shipment within 2–3 business days after the order is processed and merchandise availability is confirmed.

Some orders may require up to 5 business days or longer before release because of warehouse schedules, product availability, order size, special handling requirements, or other circumstances.

Please remember that processing time is different from transit time.

Once an order has been released to a freight carrier or delivery provider, actual transit time depends on the destination, carrier route, delivery method, weather, terminal schedules, and other logistical factors.

Product Availability

Although we make every reasonable effort to maintain accurate product availability information, furniture inventory can change quickly at manufacturer and distributor warehouses.

An item displayed on our website is not guaranteed to remain in stock until the order has been processed and availability confirmed.

If an ordered product is unexpectedly unavailable, we will contact you to discuss the available options.

If you would like to confirm availability before placing your order, please contact us with the product name or link and your ZIP code. We can often verify current inventory and provide an estimated delivery timeframe.

Delivery Scheduling

Furniture deliveries generally require an appointment.

Please provide an accurate daytime telephone number with your order. We strongly recommend providing an alternate telephone number when possible.

Depending on the delivery method, either Classic2Modern or the delivery provider will contact you to arrange a delivery date or delivery window.

The carrier or delivery team may be unable to complete final delivery until they have spoken with you and confirmed the appointment.

Please respond promptly to delivery calls, text messages, or emails to avoid unnecessary delays or storage charges.

Delivery Dates and Expedited Delivery

Delivery dates and transit times shown or communicated before shipment are estimates unless Classic2Modern specifically confirms a guaranteed delivery date in writing.

Once merchandise has been transferred to an independent carrier, some aspects of routing and scheduling are outside Classic2Modern's direct control.

If you require furniture by a particular date, please contact us before placing your order. Depending on the product, destination, and carrier, expedited or specially scheduled delivery may be available for an additional charge.

Please do not place a time-sensitive order based solely on an estimated delivery date without first confirming the timing with us.

Customer Responsibility for Delivery Access

Before ordering, customers are responsible for confirming that the merchandise will fit into the intended room and through all necessary delivery access points.

Please measure, as applicable:

  • exterior and interior doorways;
  • hallways;
  • stairways and landings;
  • elevators and elevator doors;
  • ceiling clearances;
  • building entrances; and
  • the intended placement area.

Please also notify us before delivery of unusual access conditions such as narrow staircases, limited parking, restricted building hours, high-rise requirements, elevator reservations, long carries, or other circumstances that may affect delivery.

An item that cannot be delivered or placed because of insufficient access, incorrect customer measurements, or undisclosed delivery restrictions is not considered damaged or defective and is subject to our Final Sale Policy.

Additional charges resulting from unusual access conditions, failed delivery attempts, redelivery, or services not included in the original delivery arrangement may be the customer's responsibility.

Inspection at Delivery

Please inspect your shipment carefully when it arrives.

For White Glove deliveries, customers should inspect the actual furniture with the delivery team present and before the delivery team leaves whenever reasonably possible.

If you discover visible damage, an incorrect item, or another obvious problem, bring it to the delivery team's attention immediately and make sure the condition is documented on the delivery receipt or Proof of Delivery (POD).

Take clear photographs of the merchandise and any damaged packaging whenever possible.

For freight deliveries where merchandise remains packaged, inspect all cartons carefully before signing the carrier's delivery receipt.

Minor Carton Damage

Minor damage to an exterior carton does not necessarily mean that the furniture inside is damaged.

If a carton has minor exterior damage, you may accept the shipment, but the damage should be specifically noted on the carrier's delivery receipt or POD before signing.

For example, rather than simply writing “damaged,” note the actual condition:

“Lower right corner of carton crushed.”

or

“Carton punctured on left side.”

Photograph the carton before opening it and retain all packaging while you inspect the merchandise.

Significant Shipping Damage

If a carton or item shows substantial visible damage suggesting that the merchandise inside has been seriously damaged, document the condition before accepting the shipment.

When appropriate, refuse only the damaged carton or affected item, rather than automatically refusing undamaged portions of a multi-item shipment.

Clearly state the damage and reason for refusal on the delivery receipt or POD, take photographs whenever possible, and contact Classic2Modern immediately:

Phone: (800) 674-8282
Email: info@classic2modern.com

Please do not refuse an entire shipment merely because a carton has minor cosmetic damage.

Concealed Damage

Occasionally, shipping damage may not be visible until the merchandise is unpacked.

If you discover concealed damage, contact Classic2Modern promptly and retain all original packaging.

Do not discard cartons, foam, wrapping, pallets, labels, or other packing materials until the claim has been reviewed.

Digital photographs of the merchandise, damaged area, carton, internal packaging, and shipping labels will normally be required to process a freight or damage claim.

Importance of Noting Visible Freight Damage

Customers receiving freight shipments are responsible for reasonably inspecting the exterior condition of the shipment before signing the delivery receipt.

If a carton shows visible damage at the time of delivery but that damage is not documented on the carrier's delivery receipt or POD, our ability to establish that the damage occurred during transportation may be substantially limited.

As a result, Classic2Modern may be unable to obtain carrier approval or provide a remedy for visible freight damage that was accepted without notation.

Please take a few moments to inspect the shipment before signing for it.

Additional requirements regarding damaged, defective, or incorrect merchandise are explained in our Return, Refund & Damage Policy.

Orders Placed on Hold, Delayed Delivery & Storage

Once merchandise has been released or allocated for an order, customers who request that delivery be postponed should contact us as early as possible.

Orders placed on hold at the customer's request, or delayed because the customer is unable to accept a scheduled delivery, remain subject to our cancellation and Final Sale policies.

Warehouses, freight terminals, and delivery companies may impose storage charges when merchandise cannot be delivered within their normal holding period.

Storage charges vary depending on the warehouse or carrier, size and quantity of merchandise, and length of storage. Any storage, redelivery, reconsignment, or related charges resulting from a customer-requested delay or inability to accept delivery may be the customer's responsibility.

Failed Delivery and Redelivery

Customers are responsible for being available during an agreed delivery appointment or delivery window.

If a delivery cannot be completed because no authorized person is available, the customer cannot be reached, access is unavailable, building requirements were not disclosed, or another customer-related circumstance prevents delivery, additional redelivery, storage, handling, or transportation charges may apply.

Failure to accept a properly scheduled delivery does not constitute cancellation of the order.

Order Cancellations Before Shipment

Orders can typically be canceled within 24 hours after they are placed, provided the merchandise has not yet been released by the warehouse for delivery or shipment.

If you need to cancel, contact Classic2Modern immediately. If the merchandise has not yet been released, the order may generally be canceled without a restocking fee.

If merchandise has already been released by the warehouse or picked up by a delivery team or carrier but has not yet been delivered, cancellation may still be possible, but applicable restocking, handling, transportation, return-to-warehouse, or similar charges may be deducted from the refund.

The 24-hour period is not a guaranteed cancellation window because some orders may be processed or released by a warehouse sooner.

Once merchandise has shipped and is in transit, the order is subject to our Final Sale and Return, Refund & Damage Policy.
